Day 20: Jedi or Sith

There's no question for me. I'm all about the Sith. Sure I like the Jedi, but I'm much more aligned with the Sith way of thinking. I'm going to be honest with you here, sometimes I think of the Jedi as sticks in the mud. Like fuck.

And this is the end of the SW meme. It's been fun. I want to have this on record, but one of the things I love the most about SW is the feeling of getting lost in another world. I remember feeling like this about HP. Maybe it's why I love worldbuilding in my own projects now. But should I phrase this. I love feeling like that somewhere out there, there is another world with just as many different people and all types of interests and all that good just like ours, do you know what I mean? I fucking love feeling like that.

Day 18: Favorite antagonist

Hmm well I'm hesitant to label any of my characters antagonist, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are bad or evil, they just antagonize people. So let's say Anna shall we? Anna may be one of my favorites to write, but girl can be fucking cruel sometimes.

Day 19: Favorite Battle

 photo tumblr_m2npcx8nya1r21j93o1_500.gif

I wasn't sure if I should this one as I don't know if the question is asking about the battles during the war or one or ones, but I chose this one anyway. This fight is intense and you can really tell they are putting their all into this. It's a fight to the death.

Day 17: Favorite protagonist.

Hmmm I don't know. It used to be Elisabeth, but I haven't wrote her by herself in the longest time. So maybe Anna or maybe Therese.

Day 18: Favorite Duo/Friendship

 photo anakin-and-obi-wan-image.jpg

I almost went with the Luke/Leia friendship, but since they are blood related, I thought I'd go with the Obi-Wan/Anakin friendship. I like it so much because they were so close and then it all came crashing down. I mean Obi-Wan didn't even believe that Anakin still had any good in him even though he mourned the lost of his friend. Something about that is tragic to me.

Day 16: Do you write romantic relationships? Are you good with those? Do you write sex scenes?

I do write romantic relationships. I actually have an easier time writing romantic relationships than I do with sex scenes. I'm still feeling my way around with sex scenes, you know? I have to get over my own problems with being a free sexual being. Like I still struggle with the fact that I'm sexual, you know? I've always tried to hide that part of me like it's something disgusting when I know it's not and that extended into my writing.

Day 17: Funniest Scene

Well I was watching AOTC and I fucking laughed hard at Obi-Wan when he was trying to navigate through that asteroid field. I mean poor Obi-Wan, but it cracked me the fuck up haha.

Day 15: A writer you admire, whether professional or not!

Charlotte Bronte. Her stuff is so passionate and heartfelt. I would really love to even come close to her stuff one day.

Oh and I just watched this Anakin fanvid and I thought I'd share this with you all.

Day 16: Favorite Villain

Hmmm this is a hard question to answer...NOT! Come on, you know I'm going to say Vader! Vader is my homeboy. His whole transformation from Anakin into the ruthless Vader, it enthralls me, you know? It's like he's multi-layered and all that.

Day 14: How do you map out locations, if needed?

I break out the printer paper and pencils and draw haha. I tried to do it on the computer and it just wasn't working out for me.

And I'm sorry this post is so late. I got distracted last night before finally going to sleep and I ended up sleeping all fucking day haha.

Day 15: A character you wish was in the saga more.

Hmm I'm going to go with Bail Organa. I would love to more about Bail and possibly Breha. We only get a glimpse of her at the end of ROTS.

Day 13: What’s your favorite culture to write, fictional or not?

Haha probably my Mondians and their predecessors.

Day 14: A moment that breaks your heart

I'm pretty much going to go with the twins are delivered to their separate homes. I don't know I just keeping thinking of what could have happened if Anakin had cooled his shit. They would have been a happy family. Maybe Anakin would have had to give up his career as well as Padme. But the family would still be together, you know? But of course, it couldn't go down like that.

Day 12: In what story did you feel you did the best job of world→building?

I guess I'd say TMC. I mean I've got certain histories and rulers and the Church mapped out. It's the one I spend the most time on because I guess you could say it allows my creativity to run free as well as my imagination haha.

Best Scene: Revenge of the Sith

Favorite I think out of a few other moments.

Who is your favorite/least favorite character to write

I really love to write them all. They may change in the future, but they are fun for now.

Day 12: Best Scene: Attack of the Clones

No video because I had a hell of time trying to find it, but here's the dialogue from my favorite scene of AOTC:

Anakin Skywalker: From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven't thought of you. And now that I'm with you again... I'm in agony. The closer I get to you, the worse it gets. The thought of not being with you... I can't breathe. I'm haunted by the kiss that you should never have given me. My heart is beating... hoping that kiss will not become a scar. You are in my very soul, tormenting me... what can I do? I will do anything you ask. If you are suffering as much as I am, please tell me.

Padmé Amidala: I can't... We can't... It's not possible.

Skywalker: Anything is possible, Padmé. Listen to me...

Amidala: No, you listen! We live in a real world; come back to it. You're studying to become a Jedi, I'm... I'm a senator. If you follow your thoughts through to conclusion, they will take us to a place we cannot go, regardless of the way we feel about each other.

Skywalker: Then you do feel something!

Amidala: I will not let you give up your future for me.

Skywalker: You're asking me to be rational. That is something that I know I cannot do. Believe me, I wish that I could just wish away my feelings, but I can't.

Amidala: I will not give into this.

Skywalker: Well, you know, it... it wouldn't have to be that way. We could keep it a secret.

Amidala: We'd be living a lie, one that we couldn't keep, even if we wanted to. I couldn't do that. Could you, Anakin? Could you live like that?

Skywalker: No. You're right. It would destroy us all.

This scene. I think it is heavy on the foreshadowing of their relationship. They both know what they're getting into and yet decide to do it anyway after all is said and done. I just don't think they could stay away from each other, you know?

Day 10: What are some really weird situations your characters have been in?

I didn't know how I was going to answer this, but then I remember a scene a wrote last year.

Henri (the king) comes to the Everart estate. Not to see the woman carrying his child and his mistress of three years, Marie Everart, but instead he comes to see her younger sister, Anna. Yeah...and you know I haven't written the situations where Bertrand (Henri's half brother and Marie's future husband) and Henri and Marie AND Anna are in the setting or whatever. Then there's the fact that Henri is also the uncle of his own kids because Marie married his brother. Yeah things get convoluted around these particular families.

I am almost finished TPM! I am really enjoying it you guys, I can't believe it took me this long to really love it. I wish I had went out and saw in 3-D. I'm debating going to see AOTC, but I know that I will have to break out of these four walls to see ROTS. And I'm taking my mother with me. Sorry Mom, you'll have to sit through it for a third time haha.

Day 11: Best Scene: The Phantom Menace

Now some of y'all know that TPM is probably my least favorite movie out of all six of them. But it does have some cute little moments like above when Anakin meets Padme. I like it because it's simple. They're basically kids in this scene and knowing how their relationships ends, it nice to look at the good times.

Day 9: How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them

It's sort of different for some characters. With Elisabeth (Generation C) she formed in my head long before her world or any of her relatives. With Chloe Parker (From Ashwood Girls) she formed in response to a prompt and she sort of took on her own life from there.

Like the first part of the process lately has been the names. I'll find names and throw them together. Some character's backstories are already there like with Elisbaeth, but others? I'm still coming up with backstories for some characters.

And lastly. I was on ONTD as always and someone posted a link to this webseries called The Most Popular Girls ever and omg you guys. I watched all 13 of those motherfucking episodes in like two hours. FUCK! I gut laughed a few times and I don't even know why.

Day 10: Best Scene: Return of the Jedi

The whole fight between them and the aftermath were probably my favorite scenes of this movie especially when Vader finds out he has a daughter and then Luke goes apeshit. But my favorite is right before Vader is about to die and says: You were right about me. Tell your sister, you were right. I love it because Anakin was also thinking of Leia. Leia often gets left out when people talk about the Skywalker family. And I'd like to think he remembered what he'd done to her and wanted her to know that he wanted her forgiveness. So yeah,

Day 8: What’s your favorite genre to write? To read?

Family saga probably haha. Then probably realistic fiction. My favorite genre to read of course is romantic fiction, particularly of the historical variety :P

Day 9: Best Scene: The Empire Strikes Back

If you skip toward the 8 minute mark, that moment is the first, while the duel is the second. I love that Luke calls out for Leia and she senses him! I love seeing their bond.

Day 7: Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? How do you relate music to your writing?

I do listen to music while I write. I have separate playlists for each series. I listen to it so I can imagine the scenes in my head. Like it'll be a little movie up there haha.

Day 8: Best Scene: A New Hope

This one. I initially didn't know which scene to choose, but this one popped in my head. It's the climax of the movie and I really love it haha.

Day 6: Where are and you most comfortable writing?

Definitely my room. I got a new laptop so I could write anywhere, but I usually end up at the main computer anyway. I dunno it makes me feel more professional to be sitting at my desk and plus I can concentrate better.

Day 7: Most Powerful Quote

I don't think this quote shows up in any of the films. Rather it's from the EU and when I went searching for it, I found out it was from the novelization of Revenge of the Sith. I only skimmed that book like eight years ago, but this quote has stayed with me over the years.

I'm paraphrasing here but it is: Even the stars die out.

That quote kind of sums up Anakin for me. He tried so hard to protect those he loved, but they ended up hurt. Even though I don't agree completely with Yoda's words to him after he has the dream, I think they make sense. Everyone and everything must die one day. I think what Yoda was trying to get across is that you should enjoy your time with them, you know. But of course Anakin didn't listen and ended up fulfilling the thing he tried to put a stop to, so yeah.

Day 5: By age, who are your youngest /oldest characters?

Well at current time (Maybe 1150 or so, it jumps back and forward), the youngest named characters are around 4 to 6 in TMC?

In Mari, there's Daniel's siblings around that same age.

As for the oldest? Elisabetta is in her 80s in the early '50s, so yeah she's the oldest at the moment.
