Hey you guys!

I was looking at one of my bookshelves today and I was I like: I love Harlequin books. No shame. I've been reading the Home Girl book but I started reading the blurbs on the back of the books I bought this month and I decided to read one. I went with the historical of course haha. I'm really enjoying it so far. It's A Lady Dares by Bronwyn Scott. I'm trying to remember if I've read anything by her before. I have this omnibus of similar Nora Roberts books, but I haven't read them yet. Lol what kind of romance fan am I? Everyone and their mother has read a Nora Roberts book.

I went in game yesterday and saved all the Sims connected to the original family through marriage or birth (Except Dylan because fuck him) and now I'm going to transfer them to a new world because my save is corrupted beyond belief. Shit man.

I'm trying to decide between Sunlit Tides and Hidden Springs. If I go with Hidden Spring, the original Bert Alto is there and I don't want to delete the original copy because I'm weird about deleting sims haha. But yeah I'm leaning towards Sunlit Tides.

I'm going to work on the fraction worksheets and read a bit more of my various books.

That's why I keep trying! I read about nine books in her "In Death" series until I gave up. I loved the supporting characters, but I hated the two main characters. The man was a jerk and the woman was my own personal definition of a Mary Sue. In the end, I couldn't keep reading for glances of the characters I loved (and getting annoyed for their fawning over the lead character). I have tried a couple of her romances, and the head jumping made me want to pull my hair out. Her writing's not bad, from the little I've seen, but I just don't enjoy trying to follow it.

Hey if you don't like her then you shouldn't force yourself to keep reading. I know I personally gave up on those House of Night books after the fifth one because the Mary Sue-ness just started to overwhelm me. Way too many good books to read to spend your time on something you don't really enjoy you know what I mean?

I had the same problem with the House of Night books. They were very well written, so I made it up to number 3 before I gave up.

Yeah I liked the first few but number 5 really laid it on thick for me so I dropped that series haha. I couldn't stop rolling my eyes.
